picked up one of each today in Swansea city branch. amazing value. it was only the zero and the sensitive varieties that were that cheap. worth a look if you are in there anyway. no idea if national.

That's completely wrong. It has undone clinical studies and it has repeatedly shown it is plenty effective as plaque reduction and gum issues.
Some varieties contain fluoride and that too is a clinically proven ingredient to reduce cavities.

I think you'll find that there are only 1/2 specific varieties of mouthwash which have proven benefits (Listerine isn't one of them), the rest are just marketing hype. Just ask any dentist !
Also, most people use mouthwash immediately after brushing their teeth which is by far the worst possible time to use it as it flushes away the benefits gained from using a flouride toothpaste.
