this has no audio output meaning you are restricted to in built speakers only
This probably has an optical output, adapters to phono can be purchased from Amazon for less than £20. I bought one for £9.99 a while back for my LG LB580v

Or just use the DVD/tv box/whatever source you have for sound?

Component video socket.
Composite socket.
Ethernet connection.
Suitable for wall mounting 200 x 200 bracket.

where did you find that? - even LGs own website doesn't seem to list the specs... does it really not even have a 3.5mm headphone socket to plug in a sound bar?

nice tv's when you tune the picture to your preference. just remember to decrease the backlight to 80% as the led's go on these tvs (i have discovered to my cost) you cant even notice the difference between 80 and 100.

I have never seen a sound bar use a 3.5mm jack... normally via HDMI Arc or Optical

Cheap nasty rubbish like Goodman's and supermarket brand stuff use them but they normally sound worse than the built in ones.

Exactly what I thought after posting. I get this will be the TV for the spare room/bedroom rather than the lounge but don't end up buying a sound system/bar which is actually on par/worse than the TV itself!

Well, when buying a TV for ~£200... spending another ~£200 on a decent soundbar seems pretty bad value :/
After buying one of the cheap soundbars you mention, I took it back to the shop because, yes, it was crap... I now use some 2.1 PC speakers on my current TV, that use the headphone socket... it sounds pretty decent.

£200? I didn't even spend £120 on my lounge sound bar which was a Sony with wireless sub too nevermind my spare room/bedroom one - I take your point though.
