Good find. I use this for high temp. cooking as it has a very high smoke point. I use cold pressed coconut oil for lower temp cooking and for added health benefits.

This brand uses RBD oil which stands for Refined, Bleached and Deodorised. It is made from copra which is the dried flesh of the coconut. This flesh has an unpleasant smokey smell and is darker from the drying process which is why the RBD process is needed to remove the unpleasant smell and colour.

Yeah guys, this is refined coconut oil, I used it for a long time before I realized, thought I was getting a good deal but once I did the research I might as well be using vegetable oil.

it's interesting, people have been using coconut oil for hundreds of years and then all of a sudden it becomes the in thing in the west and we must use this new fangled cold pressed because

Its just a fad in the West & it'll pass to be replaced by the next 'super food'
Meanwhile the rest of the world will continue unaffected, probably pleased to have got their coconut oil back!

Whenever anybody is health conscious and attempts to share knowledge there are always cynical people waiting in the wings to criticise it. Probably to justify their own unhealthy existence..anyway, back to the oil, it may contain trans fats...not good, I've been buying this and will now switch!

If you like to use it by all means however it's really not the miracle health substance most of the media/internet/gurus make it out to be.
