If you like your rice long, slim and quite dry these are for you but not for me as I prefer fluffy, more rounded and moist which these are not when properly cooked

I'm in full agreement, I'd bought 3 bags when it was on offer previously, ended up passing on to other family members. I find this brand of rice tasteless.
My favourite is Badshah superior aged rice, absolutely delicious.

These are long and fluffy basmati variety commonly known as 2112.
Just wash 4 times, soak them for 1hr before cooking. Can also add a spoon of Ghee for better texture/aroma.
Worth it even at £9

Wish it was Wild rice. Does anyone know why Wild rice is so expensive and so difficult to find?

A wild stab in the dark but two reasons spring to mind:
1) It only grows wild and therefore it's hard to get your hand on it in sufficient quantity
2) If they harvested wild rice it would no longer be considered wild and then they could not justify doubling the price of a bag of rice because it has 50 grains of wild rice in it.
Opening post
Never been this price past 2 years
May help someone.
