4W output, 2 * 2W sounds pretty pathetic, even for this price.

I have this and it's fine for what it is, even with 4W it delivers a decent sound - certainly not pathetic.

Obviously this is not a 'booming' 2kW PA rig - but really nice, clean fidelity with a fair amount of bass (there's a largish passive bass cone between the stereo drivers) and sufficiently loud for bathroom / kitchen etc... I've worked in sound engineering using reference quality speakers so I'd like to think I have an inkling of what sounds 'OK'
These wattage ratings mean next to nothing on cheap gear anyway...
The battery is an easily replaced mobile phone battery so even if that dies you can easily sort it..
After buying one, two friends who were going to spend £50+ bought one having had a play with it..
The only slight annoyance is you have to hold down the volume up/down button and it's easy to overshoot, but simply set it and then adjust volume with your connected device..
I think I paid the same off Amazon for mine. Then saw it in Tesco for £30
Definitely a quality product. Yeah kinda about as loud as you would expect for the size and weight. From someone with 10 years + of professional audio experience I'd say it's not the best ever sound I've heard, but very good value for the quality overall. Nice clean highs and mids, bass is punchy. Extra features and build quality are good bonuses.

Hot, I have about 20 years of listening to premium top of the market sound, I've only ever bought the best money can buy in Sony. To be fair these are ok!
