For 4K you really need a size like this to get the benefits. No point having a 40" 4K tv then sitting quite far away.

I would buy this if it wasn't with such an awful company

I don't know if the HDR implementation is good on that TV. See if you can find reviews online.

Yup, looks like you're right, ta for the heads up!
Looks like these hisense tv's are really trying to break into the UK market. I have only heard great things about the TV's After all most of the panels are made in the same ol factories and then forwarded on for badging etc

I rang up Richer Sounds to order one of these, he said they had no stock and seemed very uninterested about taking an order.
I thought they employed sales staff

Better still, buy from RS or somewhere that doesn't try to fleece customers whom may have a perfectly valid reason for returning a TV they have been unable to inspect before purchase.

I bought the 58" one last week with the discount codes and cashback we paid just under £500. The build quality is excellent and 4k and 3d works amazing. I've only ever owned Panasonic or Samsung previously and am that impressed with these tvs I'm going to buy the 65 in a couple months and put this 1 in the bedroom.

The HDR needs to be standardised, if it's not the standardised version branded 'Ultra HD Premium' then don't buy the TV if you want a proper HDR implementation.
Ultra HD Premium branding means the TV is capable of a standardised HDR implementation and therefore does HDR properly according to the standard. Of course many manufacturers can do their own implementation which may or may not be as good as the standard of which there is conformity in the specification.

It does support the HDR, but only for local not over HDMI

because a lot of people unknowingly will see the 4K tag and think oh the latest and greatest TV technology but it will not be compatible with any HDR content e.g the new HDR Xbox one

4m x 5m in my case. With a 65" TV mounted on the wall. Doesn't even seem big to me any more!
I can't say I know this panel, but one thing I will say with TV's this size is they show up the flaws in the picture more. So if this doesn't scale sub 4k stuff well, it's gonna look pretty rough.

does this set support HDR?
edit: just checked and it doesn't so what's the point buying old technology.

Whats the point in looking at massive TV's for under £800 and expecting the latest technology?

I guess that's why it's £720?
Still a lot of TV for the money if you want size over quality.

Hisense have an awful customer service. We're still waiting the update that was supposed to be out by March to have Youtube in 4K on the K321 series.

Flipping heck, how big must people's living rooms be? I can see this working in a commercial setting though, because after all you're only really going to notice the 4k / HD difference when you get closer than two metres away.
