Most of them are free anyways, deal should be in competitions section to try and win the £5 credit

You can chose an in game power up for each one of these games (some are worth £4 looking through the list on the website). Credit can be used on anything (games,movie, music etc)

I wonder if this is similar to the Kitkat Google Play £5 competition a few years ago where each code on a new account automatically won £5

It's not the games but paid for items in the games that you can choose.
