As the subject for this post is "Free Carling Lager" you could argue that you weren't really the target audience
I say it's a poor alternative as it does NOT update in anyway for any claims that you (may) have had validated already for any of the offers - and lots of the offers tend not to be "new" but just "time extensions" of previous offers where you MAY have forgotten that you've already claimed the offer. [You can tell that's the voice of experience, having been stung in this way!]
Only their live Internet website, once you've logged into your Quidco a/c, shows the actual available "Redeem X times" eg "Redeem 0 times" if they have validated a previous claim by you
