The packs were £3.75 in both Tesco stores I visited today and the deal also looks to be online. Arguably the price is worth it for the batteries alone.
The information in the link is wrong. The batteries are 1300 mAh.
My local store also had the packs of 4 x Tesco own brand ready to use rechargeable AAA batteries for £1.85, but they had sold out.
They are also showing packs of 4 x Tesco Ready To Use Rechargeable AA batteries for £2.10, so it's worth looking out for these instore. Link.
If you find a store with stock, I imagine the packs of 4 x Energizer Extreme 2300mAh rechargeable batteries will also be less than £2.00.

online it says the batteries included are 2000mah? some people (like me) would raise the issue of, does it shut off when batteries have fully charged. if not it the description also contradicts itself saying it will shut off after 11 hours to avoid overcharging, but only takes 8 hours to charge 2000mah, so for 3 extra hours is it trying to cram in another 1200mah? Although it is a reasonable price for most it could require attention to charging times.

Did you scan the pack? I assumed it was a national deal as the price is shown online as well as in store.

Thanks for confirming. As I say, I think this must be a national deal. I popped into both my local stores today and they had both sold out of the chargers and the batteries. So I imagine they'll become increasingly hard to find.

Thanks OP...Managed to get the last 2 yesterday from Park Road branch, Liverpool...
They were marked up at £15 but a price check at the till revealed they were £3.75, cheers... :smirk:
