I got one that clamps to the desk as it save's a lot of space on the desk.

Also they sell another version of this with clamp http://www.ebuyer.com/657194-element-gaming-triple-deskmount-with-clamp-fnreb3c which suggests it's just freestanding?
you would think it would at least have screw holes in the base.
