Same. Just don't think a Gtx 960 would do this game justice. Not sure whether to take the plunge and see how it holds up or wait until I can grab a new card.

I've got it on PS4, it's better looking on PC of course, in terms of the gameplay, it's Doom and nothing more, it has a couple of tricks such as weapon and armour upgrades and glory kills, but I have no clue as to why people like it that much. It's just a basic FPS, it's fun but there's not really any meaningful gameplay. Also the formula is really simple to fathom out. Which is this:
Doom 2016 Gameplay:
1. Quiet
2. Lock downed area where everything attacks you
3. Find key/s to progress in area
4. Quiet
5. Lock downed area where everything attacks you, sometimes meet a boss.
6. Repeat steps 1-6 until you complete the game.
I'm astounded at how simple the gameplay is, maybe that's the appeal of this game. It's a a forgettable game, but it's classic Doom, so if that's your thing, it'll appeal to you.

By all accounts Doom scales really well across PCs due the significant amount of tweaking you can do in the graphics settings. I have an old 2500K i5 and am running this at max everything with my GTX970 at 1080P and I have read that it performs just as capably on a 960 (without the extra prettiness). I would take a punt, single player is awesome and they just started talking about tweaking the much vaunted multiplayer to make it significantly better over the next couple of months

Laptop with i5 and GTX950M, at 720 is plays well at medium preset (50 fps). I have another laptop with an i7 and GTX960M, can rampt it up a notch on that. Plays well, single player much much better than expected. Multi is good, not ventured into snap maps. I'll not be bothering with any DLC until very cheap (think it will be multi maps anyway?).
