following on from the announcement that Disney have discontinued the infinity series for no reason (as they were still making money from it). sainsbury stores have started reducing down older series characters instore. I have asked and staff believe it to be nationwide, included are stitch, maleficent etc from 2.99 and others from 2.0 @ 5.99. There were more reduced but can't remember off hand. Found at the Ballymena store this morning. hope this helps

Also the reason for the discontinuation is that Disney want to make AAA Disney games from now on to match upto the quality of games like battlefront.

Um. no. Where did you read that? they are no longer responsible for developing, publishing or creating anything related to videogames. They are simply going to licence their properties to other developers in future.

nonsense. the reason is they are not making any games now and licencing out their ip instead.

Good plan, though your kids can't play battlefront. If your logic is sales performance i think infinity sold very well... so surely it's an Aaa title.

Don't really think these prices have dropped due to discontinuation. Sainsburys always clears out its old stock. Was buying Trap Masters & Traps for peanuts earlier in the year etc.

skylanders, Disney infinity and lego dimensions are such a money making racket. only thing is they are good games which doesn't make it that bad. well I keep telling myself that anyway

*Update* - Kanan, Sabine and Zeb from star wars are also 5.99
Never noticed any reductions in the Carrickfergus store... :disappointed:

Right. And where does it mention what you said? You're only backing up my point. They will never be part of making another videogame again. Only licensing their properties out to other developers :P There is absolutely nothing about them focusing on AAA development anywhere!
Oh wait, I see, you weren't the original poster of that comment. Just someone that doesn't read.

My kids have really got the value for money out of these - I enjoyed playing along with the Skylanders, although it's a little "basic".
I couldn't enjoy Infinity (despite having the Star Wars stuff) nor the Lego Dimensions, or the similar Amiibo stuff. The kids seem to have dropped playing all but the Skylanders as well and I find the occasional bargain @ CEX (like 25p a figure!) keeps them interested...
I don't know what made feel the need to post this information either...

I just love the figures to be honest, great little trinkets, better than them painted by blind raccoon, cast by elephants in mordors forge, sheite you get with magazine subscriptions for 106 thousand weeks at 19.99 lol

So are you saying that Rocket Raccoon, Hulk and Aladin are sunning a racket with magazine cover models?

So confused about this.
Lincoln Sainsburys has them on a shelf end, just around the corner from the 3.0 standard main aisle shelve. They have never had these figures in to date, so these MUST be a new delivery.
They have only ever sold 3.0 recently so to find these at this price is awesome.
