Noticed that Asda has Clarks Pure Canadian Maple Syrup at £2 on a 'roll back' offer, down from £2.68, in-store and on-line. States 'No.1 Medium Grade'. Suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
(Note - This is not the carob syrup mix). Was looking for a pure maple syrup now that Aldi has discontinued its version.
Also, Asda has Vermont Canadian Maple Syrup 250g (which, I believe, is about the same volume as 180ml ) @ £2.30.

apparently, 1ml is equal to 1g (fluids) so this would mean that the clarks pure maple syrup is more expensive than the vermont one.

Isnt this the one that is bottled in newport wales?
Im sure of it, its garbage, Im canadian and this is not good stuff.
Best I have had here is the Costco 750ml bottle for 7.50, it was amazing.

I didn't actually buy it, but looking at Asda's site, yes, it does show Clark's as being in Newport.
This is the 'pure' maple syrup, not the 'Original' version containing over 60% carob syrup which I (and other people) think is awful. Saw the offer and shared the info..
Costco's maple syrup has been mentioned previously, but I've not had chance to buy or try it. I'll bear your recommendation in mind for the future, though :smiley:
In the past I've had 250g bottles of maple syrup which were smaller than bottles of 250mls

Came here to post just this. Was so thankful to find that maple syrup at Costco...its the same one i bought back home. Really need to get the knowledge out there so Costco doesnt remove it from their shelves.

That calculation is for water, other fluids may be the same or similar, but others not, ie maple syrup is about 70% sugar which weighs more than water by volume,

The only Maple Syrup I'm aware of that's sold at Costco is the Kirkland one, do they sell another one in store?

No Kirkland brands are amazing value for money
It's Virgin cold filtered I think, it tastes like they just tapped the tree and put it in the bottle
Trust me, raised in Canada, used to having pancakes every weekend, this stuff is the best I've had in the UK, and cheapest
