Been so insanely impressed with the amount of abuse my Tissot has taken over the years, I really want a cheap ecodrive but won't buy one that's not got sapphire glass.

Just replaced the capacitor on my Eco-Drive after about 5 years.
£55 for a new "battery". Having said that, most high street jewellers wanted to send it away for servicing at a cost of £180 to £220.
So shop around!

i had half thought about getting one of these. really glad you said that about the capacitor. I won't bother getting one now as it really annoys me when stuff is as cheap to replace as fix :disappointed: il stick with my very mediocre priced but reliable rotary for a while longer in that case

My eco drive is nearly 20 years old and only stopped working about a year ago. I have brought it to my local watch shops and they all said that they could not fix it and that I would have to send it away. Where did you get the capacitor and how hard was it to fit please?
