Thought this was pretty decent considering these fans are pretty much £10 everywhere... take in mind however that they aren't boxed but taken from R5 cases...

A pity PCS don't have Nanoxia cases they strip...
Because while Fractal Design's Define and Nanoxia's Deep Silence cases are overall very similar (with at least recent Define being slightly wider making it easier to squeeze ask your cables behind the mobo), the Nanoxia case fans are better: they manage nearly 50% more m³ per hour at a similar noise level, or around the same as this but at 5 dBA less.

Surely if the fans are good then they should be taking away heat...

Well, the Corsair 120mm fan they have (SP120) is rather poor: 74 CFM (126m³/h) which is pretty good from a 120mm fan, but at over 37 dB(A) which is loud.
The Corsair 140mm is actually not that bad. Less airflow at 60 CFM (102m³/h) but at a far quieter 20 dB(A). The Fractal Design is still better as it manages 116m³/h at 18.9 dB(A), but it is over twice the price.
