These do the job but mine make a high pitched whine when no network traffic is occurring. Its ok for living room but had to remove from bedroom as you could hear it when trying to get to sleep. Irritating.

I can recommend this if you need a Powerline wifi extender. I have two in different areas of the house, and they work great.
I bought these last month; good product and no problems with hooking up my Youview box but word of warning delivery was from Jersey and took over 2 weeks to arrive.

Who on earth came up with "ArcNet" doesn't actually inspire confidence, last thing you want is for it to start arcing

"This Pair of BT Arcnet Networks Powerline uses the Intellon INT6400 chipset to bring 200Mbps Networking to your home."
...which is of course a lie, because "One 10/100 Ethernet connector"

I wouldn't go so far as to accuse anyone of falsifying information but the specs appear rather imbalanced.

A 10/100 interface is capable of maximum 100Mbits/sec - that is how it works. So it's a lie, pure and simple.

I know. A 10/100 interface allows for a maximum of 100 Mbits/s but that is not a lie.

The 200Mbps is TOTAL throughput... as in, there and back. It's the accepted norm for these devices. Doesn't make it right though :disappointed:

Yeah, it's an accepted lie for these devices, just like disk drive manufacturers redefining the megabyte and causing confusion ever since. It's as logical as if your ISP added together the download and upload speed and claimed that as the figure you'd get.
