you stated that the ones you had beat anything this island has ever produced. That shows how dense you are. You haven't eaten everything that this island has produced so your opinion has no substance.

Seeing as "Prime Now" are selling Morrison products, you can order them on there for the same price as well!

I think you might be a little dense.
The other guy said that British were better and that was a fact. I said it was an opinion and that in my opinion, Egyptian ones taste better. Opinions are subjective...you should probably use a dictionary for that one, you're clearly not the brightest bulb. Bless.

Morrisons aren't very tasty compared to Aldi, I'd go there.

read back....you said you prefer Egyptian but failed to say you would get on a plane to buy them....next mention was someone saying they would rather wait until September for Egyptian ones.

Who mentioned old ones? The ones I had in a village near Luxor beat anything this island has ever produced.

a fact I that British fresh strawberries are better than British old strawberries or any other countries old strawberries. The Egyptian and Spanish ones are transported at 0 degrees to stop them spoiling. The chemical breakdown in strawberries starts approx 7 hours after picking. Go to your local pyo farm, find the variety you like best, after all taste is subjective. They will be cheaper fresher and tastier than any day old plus fruit

Again...That's your opinion. Not a fact. :-)

Nope, British can be the best if they are the old varieties. No one has complained more than I about the rubbish that we get in the supermarkets nowadays. Probably an old post on here about it.

Your opinion is that British is best, it isn't a fact. Enjoy your British ones. :-)

Mine was not an opinion, it's the way it is. British strawberries are as good as you can get, just sad that some newer varieties are tasteless. Same in Spain, we go there a lot & have had both good & bad there, yet several years back you would never find a tasteless strawberry there, shame, anyhow enjoy your Egyptian ones. :-)

I got these last week thinking I was getting a bargain - they looked good but were like mush when I touched them very disappointing :disappointed:

British ones are usually quite poor, although good if you're making a smoothie or something. I prefer Egyptian myself though.
Heat for the price side of the deal though!

I too am waiting for September when these awful british stuff has run out so the Egyptian ones are in the shops. They are massive and so sweet.

No, very wrong. The right variety & you can't beat them. We got two punnets from Morrisons. Both were from The vale of Evesham but different farmers. The one was just so lovely, as good as you can get, the other was average. Going back 30 years all British strawberries were sweet, their was nothing else, but different types wanting bigger yields & pest resistant, many now don't have the nice flavour.
What if I took you out for a meal & secretly added strawberry to your dessert which you ate....what would happen? :man:
