I'm surprised they don't just give the base game away, and then price the DLC to recoop the cost instead of doing it the other way around and giving the DLC out free.

Personally, I loath this game but do enjoy Battlefield 3 .

This is blazing hot. I've put so many hours into this game. Yes we all know it came out a mess, but so did BF3. This game is every bit as good, perhaps better, than BF3 was at end. Still a huge player base, the base maps (and free bonus ones) are still the most popular. But there are some worthwhile weapons in premium (obv including maps). I usually only play hardcore and have no troubles finding a game, if you just want to play regularly then you'll never have issues finding a server. Even after the new BF comes out.

Edit: this has obviously come down this low because they want you to buy premium.

Is the campaign worth it for the 3 odd quid? Not that interested in online.

Hardline seems to be £3.74 as well

Finally gone for it. When I tried it, the game didn't feel as good as BF3, but at this price I'll give it another chance.

battlefield 3 is better as its patched more.. They basically failed at version 4 and left it dead in the water...

Available as part of Origin Access at £3.99 a month. Quite a few other decent games too. Anyone on this as I'm tempted

I already bought this way back and it was a bit of a mess once upon a time. I wanted to play the single player mostly and tinker a bit with online. The thing is, I play with a controller on the couch and it was rather annoying to not have the controller overlay in the game. I could use the pad but it didn't give any indication in tutorials as to what the buttons were. Pausing and in pausing required the use of the mouse/keyboard too if I remember. Was all a bit fickle. Is it still the same? Has it been patched for better controller support?

I don't care to know people's opinions on kb/m versus controller before we go there.

Still not worth it.

bf4 is the best shooter to date in my opinion. still love overwatch and csgo, but compared to all cod and previous bf, this is the best IMO. bf2 BC was a favourite before, but having recently going back to it, bf4 has progressed well beyond. perfect balance between cod and arma 3.
