How good is it compared to metroid?

55 Degrees with my HEAT this site really is full of clueless people (to busy playing Call of Duty) or someother generic world of brown SH:@ this game is WIDELY regarded as a Masterpiece and the best game of its kind and in many top 3 lists for download games on PSN and i concur ive never seen it on a discount as ive been looking/waiting for the Vita version to be added as crossbuy which happened recently i believe and now a 40% discount on top EXCEPTIONAL deal.

This game is class. Made by one man as well.
This place is weird sometimes, rubbish gets to 1000 degrees plus.

I assume everyone voting cold is just looking at the gfx and deciding its indie trash.

Be fair on those with opposing opinions, guys. Remember, one man's trash is another man's...Axiom Verge!

Imagine that, people playing what they enjoy rather than whatever you tell them they should like...

Personally, as someone with Super Metroid as my favourite game of all time, I wasn't that crazy about it. Taking an inspiration is one thing, this in many areas just felt like a copy, and not done particularly well. Compared to the memorable boss battles of SM most of them in this are boring, you get one similar to Kraid except it doesn't move at all. Most of them just felt like cheap copies, there was nothing original here.

Just my opinion of course. I really wanted to love it, but it just didn't work for me.

I bought it. It feels just like metroid which is great. I get goosebumps etc in new areas and they still feel really spooky. Not keen on the story but the weapons are clever.

So far yeah its no super metroid but it will certainly do.
One thing that feels lame is the jumping... I wasn't screw attack.....

BTW super metroid is obviously the best game ever made.

Joking aside, it is hilarious that there are people out there that feel they can somehow dictate to others how they should be spending their free time and get all precious over some inane number or HUKD. Anyone that doesn't like a certain game must be a CoD player. After all, there's absolutley no inbetween to be had. You either like these types of games or CoD. Other than BL2, I really dislike FPS and own no sports sims (another genre for the pretentious hipsters to hate on), but I can still safely say after looking this particular game up, it isn't for me and I will never play it.

I like COD

This game only came out a month ago and it's already getting a sale. I have a feeling this'll hit 50% or a free PSN game within the coming months.

The Vita version came out last month. The PS4 version has been out ages (March 15).
