Anything above 21" should be 2560 x 1440 unless you're sitting quite far away. You'll notice the pixels on this if you use it at a desk. I made this mistake :disappointed:

Not true. I was using 23" and did not see any pixels at all and I was sitting close to it.

With respect, it's different for every person. I've been a programmer for the past 30 years, so my eyesight is garbage. Plus, you won't get a 1440p monitor for this price and also many people don't have a GPU that can drive games at that resolution and prefer their games to run a native res.

IMHO 1080p/1200p upto 24" is perfectly fine for office usage. For gaming on a laptop or a mid range PC, this is nice as well, as the GPU can still render everything on the external screen at a nice framerate. Seeing pixels isn't a bad thing.

Looks like a great monitor for console gaming, along with the new Xbox One S you could get a complete setup for under £350

Got this monitor for my birthday 2 weeks ago, was absolutely stoked. Beautiful monitor, tiny bezel and I'm a fan of asus products. However, it was actually the HUKD that made me return it! Scrolling down on HUKD, there was a yellow ghosting tint. Other than that I didn't have any issues.
I got the BenQ XL2411 instead; bezel is not as thin and doesn't look as stylish but love this one too!

Isn't the BenQ over twice as expensive?

I can't wait for the day in which 8K is a thing and you see comments saying that you need at least 4K on a 27inch monitor otherwise you'll see individual pixels right in front of you on anything less than 4K.
Ugh, no need to wait, I am already seeing comments like this...
My whole life must have been a lie then.

I'm not disputing the price of this screen and didn't vote cold. I said it's probably fine for gaming as you wont be sitting that close to it but I recently upgraded 3 x Iiyama 21" 1920 x 1080s for 3 x 23" Asus VC239H and I CAN see the pixels at 60cm from my face. You can say what you like but I stare at these screens for 8 hours a day and my charts now have a slight roughness to the edges and the graphs all have a light roughness to the edges of the lines now too. Maybe if you have bad eyes or are playing games you wont notice but for very detailed images you can see the difference if your eyesight is 20/20.

20/20 vision is actually just average. Neither good nor bad, just normal. Normal eyes won't notice a difference.

20/20 is probably becoming less common thanks to the screen technology generation (smart phones, tablets, etc.)
and I haven't had 20 / 20 vision in years!
