Showed my kids some vinyl you should have seen their faces. Even after I explained about grooves and styli they still thought it was weird. Interesting to see it's making a comeback.

Hot. Great album, under rated. Was very exotic at the time ! Should sound better than it ever has on 180g vinyl with the 2013 remastering, and modern kit. Due to be delivered on Friday for now £10.54, just couldn't resist.

It appears to be a selection of answers as to why you shouldn't bother with Vinyl. I dislike Vinyl btw so I'm biased :smiley:

Maybe trendy to like vinyl now but when I started listening to music vinyl was my only option and it was basically very hard work. Can't imagine why anyone would actually prefer it. Although I can make a good guess, it sounds "warmer" with more "depth" and other characteristics which only fanbois can hear.

I need to dust off my turntable and get a new needle :smile:

Great price, but shame its been remastered, they do unmastered versions.

I enjoy the theatre of listening to physical albums. I stream plenty of music too... but sometimes I want to sit and enjoy an album on from start to finish. Plus building a collection is enjoyable.

Of course, Amazon supply the MP3 files via their Autorip feature to download (and/or just stream) too - for the non believers ....

ps Most reviewers say they've done a great job of the re-mastering

I used to have all sorts of distilled water velvety things to keep my vinyl clean. I lent my beloved vinyl Hawkwind "In search of space" to a mate and it came back covered in dust and fingermarks even some tiny little burns... Unlistenable to obviously and I was truly gutted. If someone had told me back then that one day my vinyl problems would be over it would have cheered me up somewhat.

£9.21 now. I pulled the trigger at £10.31. Fantastic album, great pressing and package. This is what vinyl is all about. Sounds great on my Michell Gyrodec :wink:
