Not a gaming monitor really and has no brightness.
I'd say if you play games <10% of the time you use the PC that it's probably ok.
A proper gaming monitor will be 144Hz of sync locked 60Hz. £200+

Hits none of the gaming sweet spots, a decent monitor i'm sure but, it's just a monitor not in anyway optimised for gaming. AOC, Iiyama, LG and Asus all have 21.5" monitors at the same price point anyway.

Sorry for the jargon mate.
Basically the big thing is the refresh rate, think of it like a flick-book this one has a picture on every 4th page, a gaming monitor has a picture on every page so the transition from a blank page to the completed picture will be much smoother.
A gaming monitor I'd recommend would be Benq XL2411Z, XL2420Z or XL2430T.
It should also of said 144hz or sync (gsync/freesync) locked 60hz.

This will be fine for gaming. In much the same way as amateur cyclists can spend thousands on a bicycle and still get trounced by someone on one costing a few thousand PCs are the same. If you're so serious that you wouldn't consider using this monitor for gaming are you also using a mouse plugged in via ps/2 so you don't get any lag vs USB?

It didn't hurt his brain because he doesn't know how refresh rate worked. It hurt his brain because of your spelling which changed the meaning of your sentence.
Anyway, why not freesync or gsync 144hz
