beeb123 thanks for sharing  agitatedclimax, this site is about deals. What's with the cheeky comment? It's people like you that puts people off posting deals. If you don't like it then don't buy or comment. This is HotUKDeals NOT CoolUKDeals.

If you think scooters are cool, buy yourself a real one. Then buy your kid a real bike.

I'm surprised argos selling something like this as it is not road legal , it needs to have peddles then can be classed as an electric bike..

It does not need peddles to be classed as an electric bike! It needs peddles to enable it to be used legally on a public road. The rider must also be aged 14+ to legally use it on public roads & the max speed must not exceed 15.5 mph using the motor alone.

In some ways no. Still 250 for you've been framed! But if I was bought that 16 years ago.... I'd be ****! Electric motors back then we're ****! I say bring on the change!

If I buy this, that only leaves £220 to spend on my five-year-old's party and goody bags.

Thank you for clarifying that, so its a lot of money for something that you can only use in your garden or other private land !

True, around this way they are hot on these things on the pavement.

In fairness this should last a few years of use.

I didn't vote either way. This is also a forum to discuss deals. You can vote. You can comment. My comment reflects my opinion. If I was a kid and my parents bought me this I'd be gutted. I'd rather have a real bike. Sorry if I offended.

Each to his own I suppose, but I bought my kids real bicycles when they were 12/13 and they lasted them for the next seven years. Daughter number 2 still has hers, and she's 27.

Blimey, I wouldn't want to see her riding down the road. :stuck_out_tongue:

With it being bound for private land usage, it seems like a lot of money and as the description states...it's a fashion accessory.
I would prefer a bicycle for my child. More exercise and, well, fun! #kidsareincreasinginsizeandnotintelligenceandthismakesmesadplustheyrespoiltlol

I understand and I know everyone has their likes and dislikes so I can respect that. Apologies if I was a bit blunt in my previous comment! I just like to be positive and try to be supportive with people sharing deals.

Cool present for teenagers whose parents can afford it & have land to ride it on - I know my teenager would love something like this, unfortunately I cannot afford it. But how many parents do buy TVs, game consoles, etc at a similar price  Please do not judge parents who can afford to spend on their children, it is their choice after all.........

Maximum user weight 77kg. That's not going to work for most spoiled teenagers (or me).
It's going to be pretty crap with a 24v motor and 2 x 12v batteries. I have a Razor R300 scooter which uses the same. Top speed out of the box is only about 12mph. After a bit (OK, quite a lot) of modding it now does 20mph from it's 3 x 12v batteries. If you could figure out how to put four batteries and a suitable motor and control box into this thing it might start getting interesting.
