There’s hundreds of incredible animals just waiting to be discovered. Take a wild ride through the carnivore enclosure and see our Iberian wolves, Amur tigers and ferocious pride of lions. Get up close and personal with our infamous baboon troop, or ride alongside the ostriches, zebras or rhino crash!
There’s even more to explore at our walk around area! Catch up with Biffo, Arthur and Roger at the hugely popular sealion display, meet Oliver and Rigsby, our two resident giraffes, or maybe even stop by our elephant herd and spend some time with the beautiful Nala, Ashanti, Tots and Juba!
But the fun doesn’t stop there! With everything from high rope challenges, amusement rides and an out-door grill, there really is something for everyone.

I did this last year. I saw some very ferocious looking animals, some of them looked truly wild, like they would tear you apart as soon as look at you, like they were untouched by civilisation.
Not only that, both windscreen wipers were torn off, the back car window got done in and there was faeces streaked down our car bonnet.
Yes, the evening at the bar at the Warrington Travelodge was an experience not to be repeated.

If you have access to an old-skool mini, do the safari park in that.
It's WAY more of a rush when you feel like your car doesn't actually offer much protection. Mine had a slightly growly exhaust which seemed to interest the lions. They didn't pay any attention to the other big, modern, quiet, cars. Got some great photos as a result!

Anyone who's been to knowsley safari park know if I have to do the 5 mile safari drive or can I just go around the walking section of the park?

You can pay £5 and go on their mini bus if you don't want to take your own car.

The fairground rides for the little kids will probably keep them entertained for the afternoon if you just walk in. You will also get to see the elephants and giraffes, you don't have to do the drive to see them.

only problem I have with safari parks is the driver (me) doesn't get to see much as I'm constantly changing gear/looking out for cars around not looking at the road/animals that want to damage my car and most importantly big animal turds in the road

Would your car get damaged doing this safari? Not too keen on scratches on my bonnet!

Yes! i came home with lots of scratches, a window wiper hanging off and a missing indicator last year which a monkey pinched!
