Double bill for X-men First Class and Days of Future Past at Odeon on 17/05/16 (the day before Apocalypse comes out). It's only £5 a ticket which is great for two films and a cheap evening's entertainment. Showing in a decent amount of cinemas nationwide too.
"Re-live the action with a Double Bill of mind-blowing mutant powers before witnessing the cataclysmic events of 'X-Men: Apocalypse'.
Before Professor X and Magneto discovered their abilites and mutants revealed themselves to the world, they were friends - united in a quest to prevent nuclear Armageddon. However, 'X-Men: First Class' sees an even more explosive rift opens up between them.
The characters from the original X-men trilogy join forces with their younger selves in 'X-Men: Days Of Future Past', sending Wolverine back in time to warn the young Charles Xavier (Professor X) and Erik Lensherr (Magneto) of the dangers that lie in store unless they can change the course of history.
Timings:
X-Men: First Class - 18.30
X-Men: Days Of Future Past - 21.30"

It does lead up to the midnight showing of Apocalypse, but of course they're charging full whack for that!

Think the new one looks awful. Films really feel like they just can't be bothered anymore. Everyone wants to be Marvel.

Well the review embargo lifts on Monday, 9 days before release here and 2.5 weeks before its release in the US. That's unusually early for a blockbuster of this size and suggests the studio are confident they have something great on their hands (they let great reviews out early, builds hype, gets bums on seats etc). Of course, I could be completely wrong and it could turn out to be a dud, but right now I'm looking forward to seeing it.

Looks like those reviews aren't looking too good....
Does anyone really care what critics say anymore? Still going to see it.

I wonder if you can use Meerkat Movies with this?

Looks like I was completely off the mark! I thought it might be another Civil War situation, which let reviews out early (by comparison, BvS only lifted its embargo a day before release). Still, like you said, I'm gonna go watch it and make up my own mind.

I don't ever read critics reviews beforehand now. What they think what I think are altogether different.

In case anyone is interested, the 'club seats' are going for the same price (as confirmed with Odeon Kingston), so if you need / want a little more leg room for no additional cost...
