The classic Sony design is back, but with a few little tweaks. Now even more minimalist, highlighted by Sony's aluminium frame, a frosted glass rear and sandblasted Xperia logo down the side.Fronting the Z5 Premium is a giant 5.5-inch 4K display with Sony's quality TRILUMINOS technology built in. User can enjoy 806ppi, making colours the brightest and sharpest they've ever been. Ever.
Sony has raised the bar once again in the camera department, replacing the long-standing 20.7MP camera with a 23MP one. If that's not enough, the Z5 range now owns the fastest autofocus on a smartphone camera, at under 0.1-seconds.
Struggling to get everyone in the selfie frame, and wish you had longer arms? Worry no more, with the super wide-angle 5MP front-facing camera.
An impressive 3,600mAh battery keeps the Xperia Z5 Premium going, assuring it will be by your side whenever you need it. There's also quick-charging capabilities on board, meaning you can juice up faster than ever before.
With that giant 4K display, you're going to want to do more stuff at once. An impressive octa-core processor powers the Z5 Premium, which will allow you to do just that, and will help deal with multitasking and using large apps.
The power button has a fingerprint sensor embedded within it, allowing you to save up five prints for that extra level of security. Once set up, you simply have to rest your thumb or finger on the button to unlock the handset.
Just like its predecessors, the Xperia Z5 Premium is completely water and dustproof, certified as IP68, and now without a cap over the USB port. This means it will be quite content being submerged to a depth of 1.5m for up to 30 minutes, with no risk of damage.

I have two of these beauties and I can assure you they're of the very good quality, especially the screen (sadly, the main lens cover is plastic).
On the back - put some sleek, nice cover (currently Terrapin Extra Slim Fit, Hybrid is my favourite, well above much thicker (but also more solid) Spigen Thin Fit case) so you'll hide possible back scratches and you're all done.
And the one word about the OS: 5.1.1 is very good if you're not scared of STAGEFRIGHT bug also because of Sony's STAMINA and Ultra STAMINA modes (three weeks life of the "feature phone" on single battery charge) - sadly, removed in the version 6 of the Android (no, doze mode in nowhere near Stamina and is nothing compared to the Ultra Stamina. They're different) although Sony is supposedly contemplating re-introducing them.
If you plan upgrading to Marshmallow AND like to root your devices, remember to backup your TA partition first: search xda-developers for "iovyroot".
More on the bright side? Kind-of watertight and micro SD card slot (up do 200GB), AES-NI finally supported by SoC, so encryption is not killing the handset anymore.
The only one thing I really miss? HTC Blinkfeed and integrated call blocker :disappointed:
Anyway, I would go for it - it's half the price of the new device and it's definitely worth it. Used by someone else, yes, but still awesome.

Depends if it's been liquid damaged or not, you can check the indicators on the phone, Google where they are and look, although some refurbishers remove or replace them anyway.
