Can somebody explain how they checking cars when you returning on the end of lease please.are they charging every scratch ?what about if someone bang my car with door will they charge as damage or is normal wear&tear?

just returned peugeot 208 to peugeot at end of 3 yrs just add fuel. the guy collecting the car had an ipad type thing which he used to take pics of chips and scratches with a ruler for size comparison. the machine then automatically says how much they will deduct for rectifying chips or scratches. we had numerous stone chips on the bonnet and a light scuff on the boot sill and there was no charge for these.

Thats sounds good.i am bit worry to live 2 years with car and wait if somone will damage car.also more i care about my cars worst is going...

They charge £150 per CM of every scratch, and an additional £100 per CM if somebody else caused the damage.
