It actually implies that it is 2.1a total. 1a x 2 (sockets). That's how I understood it anyway.

Can we connect two mobile phones at the same time? As it says 2.1A(total).

I think the 2.1 amp is split in half if you are charging 2 items at once so 1.050 each unless someone knows better
Where are the people ranting this will burn down my house?

They are intelligent enough to know that with a branded product from a high-street retailer, this is unlikely.

Because they are idiots.

I doubt discovering something claims to do something it's not actually capable of doing is a problem unique to me - although if it is, I don't really mind...
If the local store gets them I'll grab one and we'll see what happens - hopefully it'll be fine but, honestly, USB devices appear to mostly come from a den of dodgy junk (powered devices which aren't, charging which doesn't and don't start me on the wall socket USBs which appear mainly designed to burn down your house!!)

I have one, very useful and doesn't take up a plug

Surely that's what the 3 pin socket does, otherwise it's just a USB charger?
:smirk: See what I did there?

2,1a eh? We'll see about that...
I've seen 2.1a written on a tonne of things like this - very few actually supply it (for the curious, I have a USB current tester for this very purpose!)

Must be a pain to be you.

The other problem is whether what you connect to it will draw more than maybe 1 amp, as there's no mention that these are smart sockets.
