48" Sharp Aquos TV LC-48CFF6001K
I put this in ask last week, which TV should I get. Went for this one.
This is a smart tv
The feet for the TV are 36" apart... So had to by a table top tv mount

I just bought a sharp 32" TV from tesco for the kitchen....... First went back as the picture flashed every 5 seconds. Replacement every 10 secs.
Smart aspect was very poor. BBC iPlayer only. No other services like ITV, channel 4 etc. not available to download either. Couldn't play (dnla) any of the files on my server compared to 80℅ with samsung. Usb playing untested but lists loads of file types. It's easy to see the outside of the box listing loads of services and assume all normal services would be covered. Be careful.
Made by umc in Poland.
Now have a cheaper non smart TV (tesco own brand technika) and a now TV box that is much better than the smart 'sharp'.
PS the tesco TV appeared to be exactly the same screen, fixings and connections except the software was subtlety different and without smart.

Whilst this remains a good deal compared with the normal retail price, I'm very dubious about more expensive branded TVs (and other items). We also have a couple of older Technica TVs around the house that have given flawless service over a number of years, whilst the more expensive Toshiba and Samsung sets have been problematic. Like you we use a NowTV box into one of the older Technica sets, and it continues to work very well indeed.
I've added heat because this is a good deal against the manufacturer's price, but I'll probably stick with Digihome (Tesco) and Technica sets myself because I'm convinced the stuff inside is much the same, and the main difference is the more expensive badge on other TVs. Many TV buffs will disagree with me of course, and that is their prerogative, but I'll carry on saving £400 per TV and not notice the difference :-)

Is anyone able to tell me if I can record 2 programmes at a time on this tv or do I need an external hard drive?
