I haven't seen this before, and a quick search didn't find it on here.
You can share your prime benefits (kindle lending library, free delivery, video streaming, digital content) with 1 adult and up to 4 kids in the same household. Obviously a lot of people effectively did this by running everything on one account, but some privacy is nice - and my birthday presents can finally arrive on time :)

i think payment methods are shared if you want to share some benefits (might be books & videos, but you get delivery anyway). It mentioned that when I signed up but I can't remember for sure. The actual details (ie card number) isn't shared.

I agreed to that when I became linked to my sister's prime account but in reality I have absolutely no access to her payment details, nor her to mine.
One other thing of note is that I only seem to get the prime delivery & Amazon prime promotions but I don't get the video streaming services, I think only the initial prime account holder gets the video streaming services.
I'm not complaining though as for me it's free!
I like Amazon, but I could never justify £80 a year ontop of whatever I am buying just for the convenience of next day delivery.
I use Amazon a lot, but more and more products are 'add-on' items with a minimum £20 spend and I've noticed that frequently their prices are more expensive than other online, or even in-store, shops.
Amazon used to be have good prices but they're now seemingly relying heavily on people being lazy an/or wanting next day prime delivery.

Already sharing the 'free' deliveries with two family members in different parts of the UK plus two more still living at this address.

Agreed. This prime sharing is rubbish. e.g. I'd like to let my 18 yo daughter share Prime Delivery... she still lives in the same house as me - but there ain't no way I'm ever giving her the ability to make purchases on my Card.
So, she's stuck with economy delivery, while I get next day.

If you have had prime for a couple of years and shared it with other family (up to 4) , they will be able to take advantage of the prime delivery element on there accounts. So no sharing payment details, purchase history etc.
This was removed over 12 months ago and replaced with what is talked about here, where you have to share payment details. If you don't share payment details, you are likely on a legacy account like I am. I've just renewed and they haven't taken it off me or my other 4 family members accounts, I just hope they don't.

All the "I share with my X and I don't share my CC details" should note, the rules changed. If you shared with various people prior to the changes, then this continued. However if you now try and do it you add them as your household and they do indeed share all payment information.
