Seriously, DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SELLER!
I don't care how cheap they are, they will screw you when things go wrong.
AND YES I KNOW ITS BT!
I had shares in BT since for ever, then I tried to return a faulty item, sold my shares next day and bought Amazon shares instead:-)

I realise it's my post and I'm not being defensive but people advising how awful Dabs/BT are might be better off actually providing some relevant details as to the bad experience they had. I've personally spent thousands of pounds with them and never had a problem. Qualifying your comments by saying you sold your shares or that you still shudder remembering the horrible customer service is pretty vague at best.

Dabs for me was the absolute worst experience I have ever had buying something on line! I still shudder remembering the horrible customer service I received, I would gladly pay more and get it from Amazon every time.

I'll take it, please post a thread in the BST forum and share the link here. You would need to send it first though because of your lack of feedback.

When Amazon finally kill off all competition you'll all be complaining of price fixing and having no choice of retailers! As much as I dislike BT, I've never had issues with them or Dabs.

if the only way to make money is by screwing over the buyer, they be around for every just look at bt £150 to move the phone line in to your house *wicth they normally put on your main window box* so need your old sash windows replaced for new upvc, your paying them a heck of a lot to do something anyone that can pair two wires of the same colours together could do for about 3 mins work for £5 or so of a connection box, since thats the law and how the game works,
bt dont need to sell SSD and **** to buyer over with returns to stay in profits, they been doing it for years and always will, its called a monopoly and even if you can buy computering and other products for someone else, bt will still be around forever since they dont need those sales to price rape the buyers / customers

I had bought a Monitor from Dabs/BT, Yes your ssd is cheap and I am sure a ssd wont go wrong, so no worries.
But I really question anything I buy now from anyone else than Amazon they have the best service, maybe not the best prices but other than Costco who else? I dont even trust John Lewis any more!
Just so you guys know if you buy a Asus motherboard from Amazon they give you a 3 year Amazon warranty, not back to Asus for repair, a replacement next day delivery! Nobody else does that. Amazon will give me back back my money the moment I hand the return over to the post office, Dabs/BT told me for a week they were going to give me my money back and never did until Pay-pal shamed them. Sorry I'm not interested in that service !
Yer I know Amazon are not paying tax, screwing out the small shops etc. But you have to embrace the fact they dont screw the buyer and offer the best service, its the future and if the only way other on-line retailers can make money is by screwing over the buyer they wont be around for very long, I hope!

It is a good deal and I did not mean to offend your post OP. I think the majority of buyers of Dabs will have had no problems, but the ones that do have a problem are met with very poor customer service and I think anybody thinking of purchasing something from them need to be aware of this. I don't wish to go into details about my purchase but you can look here for a view of both sides https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/www.dabs.com . I would highly recommend when buying anything from the internet to give the company name a look up on Trustpilot before you buy.

No need to apologize. There will always be a small percentage of problems with returns. Sorry it had to be you. Also some companies won't refund you a penny for posting returns. What cost you £24.00 to post?

To provide a counter argument to the service, I use BT Business Direct at work, and find the service excellent - they refunded a faulty graphics card over a year after purchase, and didn't want it back. They even helped getting it repaired via the manufacturer on top of that. Even times where I've been an idiot and ordered the wrong item, they have no problem with returns in my experience.

The other problem I have is they only offer 2 choices for return either pick it from you and wont give you a time and in my case did not even turn up that day. Or give you a fraction of the cost to go to Post Office and buy a label they said 9 UKP was all they would give and the Post Office said due to the weight it would be 24 UKP.
So you either stay in all day for nothing or pay 15 UKP extra to take to post office. Good luck with that Dabs/BT shop!

Maybe it will be OK but I nearly lost all my money and I had returned the faulty item, thankfully I got hold of a nice lady at PAY-Pal who actually phoned them and gave them a right telling off and she ended up overriding them and just refunded me my money as she had recorded the phone conversation with the manager, these guys are just plan crooks.
They actually admitted to having the item but wanted me to give them proof I had sent the item even thou the tracking said it had been delivered?
