Some of us just like to collect things. If you're not into it, you probably won't understand anyway and possibly think that an item like this is made solely for children, just like some people think that comic books are for kids but will go and watch a film based on those comic books.
I've collected a few but I'm now really after the exclusive ones because they do go up in value, which I may be able to sell on at some point.
There's loads of people who collect these, also loads of videos on Youtube of people showing off their collections.

If this is the type of stuff you want to spend your money on then have at it, people who get bothered enough about it to try and make you feel bad for doing so need to rethink their lives.

Well said. I'm a 20 yo male and have a couple on my bookshelf and they look great, it's really nothing to be ashamed of. I don't see how spending a few quid on decorating your shelf means you need to reconsider your life.
What's the point of this plastic tat? I can understand 9 yr old collecting my little pony horses, but if you're 32 and arrange bloated doctor who figures on your shelf, you should really reconsider your life.
