I would think twice about Lenser - by all accounts quality is slipping. Check Budgetlightforum for ideas about very powerful torches. You'll need to give them an idea of what you want though - what is your budget, do you want small/large, what modes do you want (moonlight is a great mode, means you don't wake everyone up if you just need a teensy bit of light), are you planning on using (readily available) AA's and the like or (much more powerful) Lithium Ion batteries. There's a guy on there called M4DM4X who gets loads of good discount codes on a really wide range of torches so be sure to check out his thread once you have an idea of what you want.
As a very quick idea of a great torch I own which runs on 4 x AA (I use Eneloop, very good AA's) try the Thrunite TN4A for around £35 or so.
In terms of Lithium Ion torches I have several including Thorfire C8S (very powerful but surprisingly cheap at around £15 or less off Amazon) and a couple of smaller but still really powerful Olight torches. You generally have to invest in a decent Lithium Ion charger (I got an Xtar VC4, about £20, very good investment as it is an intelligent charger that also does normal rechargeables) and some GOOD QUALITY Li-Ion cells - don't buy cheap cells. DON'T BUY CHEAP CELLS - they can be very volatile and it is worth researching what is a decent cell.
Hope this helps - the folk on BLF are really helpful and knowledgeable.

Drop your phone when using it as a makeshift torch and you may regret it to the tune of several hundred quid - alternatively several of the small torches I have are certified to IPX8 for waterproofing and also 2m impact tests onto concrete. Plus they have varying levels of light. Plus they're easier to hold. Plus they fit nicely in my pocket. Plus it means I can use the battery on my phone to make calls etc.
...........I can't understand why people, other than for very impromptu occasions, use the LED on their phones when a really useful and dinky torch costs so little......

You don't really want use a phone flash as a torch for extended periods of time due to issues with overheating.

Great Spot OP - I use one of these, and I paid a lot more for mine. Bright, long lasting, and ideal for the keychain.

Great lights. Have several dotted around. Mode gradually increases light intensity which is a great feature if you don't want to start with a full beam.

Yeah can someone recommened me a really good LED torch? I walk a bit through a forest on my way to work early morning and would greatly benefit me.

Check out Costwold has they had some lenser's at half price (I wouldn't pay full) I just bought a Thorfire C8 (with charger) for about £23 from amazon and that seems reasonable value.

I second this. They're a bit pricy but very powerful.

I don't really see the point when you can down load a app on your phone if it does not already have the option to use the LED flash as a torch. My LG G4 is blinding when i use it.

Indeed. Decent torches are so cheap and compact these days, there aren't too many occasions I would choose to use my phone as a torch. Before you know it, you have torches in the car, torch in your jacket, torch in your workbag, general torches, huge powerful torch e.t.c. I might have a problem heh.

Ive been using a Nitecore Cree Headtorch regularly for fishing and work for a while now, inc their digi charger and their batteries. All good kit. I've a generic Ebay cheap one as well which is ok too but not so well made. I like the Nitecore gear for the money. Theyre all pretty good torches - its the bundled batteries that often let them down as they wont be very special, rarely genuine UltraFires etc, often "recycled" and resold. Its worth reading the tests done by Torchy The Battery Boy if you're into a bit of research.

If you aren't willing to spend a fortune on a REALLY top of the range light but just want something very good quality that will fit in you pocket go for a 2xAA light such as a Thrunite Archer 2A or similar Nitecore. You'll get excellent quality, multiple brightness levels and a maximum output of around 500 lumens (10 times brighter than an old style 2D cell bulb light). Will cost around £20 but you'll not need to buy another.

For a keychain light, these are amazing
Only lasts about 20 minutes on high, but hours on low. 120 lumens on full is plenty for most purposes, and nearly twice as bright as an old-style 3D Maglight. Micro-USB charging for convenience.

There are loads. Some crap, some great. Check BLF for ideas but lately the Efest cells (there are a couple of reliable sellers on eBay) or Panasonic cells from far east are getting great reviews. Do NOT skimp on cells. No probs spending a fair few quid. Take care of them and realistically they are the cheapest factor in the equation. Don't skimp.

I ordered a blue one on the 16th so about a week after the deal, it said out of stock presumably as you lot bought them all. Still turned up today and I'm very impressed, very bright, good choice of modes although missing a strobe sadly. Much smaller than expected. I've also got a black one coming from aliexpress but that's taking a while.
I'll be ordering quite a few more from banggood once they get more stock and the price goes down again.
