Can confirm the following:
Multibuy/Meal Deals - The 10% is applied after the relevant discount so £10 picnic meal deal is £9.
Reduced Items - It is WORKING on these - so additional 10% off despite it saying excluded.
From what a staff member said, their discount is working with this as well !

Did you not read what I said? The same brand stuff is NOT the same and yes I'd rather pay a bit more for nicer branded products. As I said for example the own brand Aldi Ketchup is horrid (my friend had it and tasted disgusting) so yes for what often is like 50p more I'd rather have Heinz.
You are funny do you by chance work for Aldi?
Let's get back to the original thread, shall we?
This is a good offer for anyone going to M&S today or tomorrow who has the Sparks card which is good for wee offers.

Care to explain how it is that the Stilton sold by Aldi is exactly the same (check the codes) as the one sold by M&S then? And at about 40% less.
Or that the Aldi slightly salted butter is the same as Country Life, and the unsalted the same as Anchor? Again, check the codes.
Only a fool pays through the nose for brands, when the self-same thing can be had from Aldi for a fraction of the price. Is that you? :stuck_out_tongue:

Only people who sadly shop in Aldi would say that the stuff is the same as M&S, lol
I hate those god awful adverts where Aldi say their generic **** is the same as own brands, and say wow look it's cheaper. It's nothing new own brand stuff anywhere has always been cheaper. The Ketchup one is the worst it taste nothing like Heinz, it's horrid.

Aldi's food of the same quality, hahahahha. No chance.
I'll stick to my non pest infested biscuits from M&S as opposed to Aldi's that was disgusting to hear.

You need to get out more.
1 These biscuits were manufactured by Baketime and not just sold by Aldi.
2 This sort of thing can happen anywhere - how about this one, then:
Marks & Spencer recall thousands of luxury mussels and clam ready meals from shops because of possible food poisoning risk

Interesting you should say that about the food. We do still buy the odd food item at M&S - their Ultimate Crumpets, made with sourdough, are unmatched by any other crumpet I've ever tried, and that's quite a few. Likewise the cakes.
You're right about Aldi, though. Much the same quality at less than half the price. And the M&S Stilton comes from the same supplier as the Aldi Stilton.

I agree. Don't bother scanning mine now. What is the point? The food is a little better than I can get at Aldi, but at three times the price.

Add me to the list too. Has to be the most useless, pointless 'loyalty' card around. M&S is grossly overpriced for what it offers (almost wholly aimed at the over 60s once you're left the major conurbations) and if even Boots can manage a loyalty discount of 4% M&S can certainly do better than this.
And having to 'pay' vast numbers of points just to get early access to a sale is just taking the pee.

Given the almighty mistakes over sparks as a 'loyalty' scheme in the last year. Another example of the distain Marks have shown their customers.

Couldn't agree more. It's absolutely awful! We spend between £50-100 a week in M&S and the points are totally worthless.

lucky you, in the terms and conditions it says they are excluded.

Wrong.
My trolley was about 80% reduced and I got 10% off the ENTIRE bill.

And what about already reduced items? Only buy M&S food when reduced, and an extra 10% would be welcome.

Can't be used for special food or flower orders or anything online.
Does anyone know if/when M&S are doing 3 for 2 on wedding cakes again?

My email says the offer has already been applied to my card, just need to scan at the till. My mrs, who works at M & S says its for all sparks card holders.

Do we get this automatically? Or from the tailor-made offers ( I don't seem to have this offer to choose from in my tailor-made offers).
