I was looking for an app for preparing for my driving theory test today and found that this app I purchased was also the exactly same in the free version.
However, the paid version gave me details to prepare on their website at http://ukdrivetest.com
Here are some details from the website.
Licensed to reproduce the DVSA revision questions with the permission of the DVSA (Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency) *, Our Learning Zone gives you instant access to all the latest official DVSA revision questions on all the Gadgets. Personalize your theory test & hazard perception test revision by selecting length of time that’s right for you and analyze your performance to begin your learning journey.
Apparently they are "Licensed to reproduce the DVSA revision questions with the permission of the DVSA (Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency) "
Apparently they are "Licensed to reproduce the DVSA revision questions with the permission of the DVSA (Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency) " so must be legit. I couldn't find any other websites that were free with better interface. I just used their hazard perception test and it is pretty good.

Is this the same as the PC version?

Good find  , I used the Driving Test Success PC DVD-ROM for both car and motorcycle theory back in 2008 and passed both easily with very decent scores. There is a lot of very useful content that comes in handy on your practical as well such as the checks under the bonnet. It works best really concentrating and using headphones, like you will in the real test.
It is really similar to the real test and the hazard perception clips are very good (there is a bit of a trick to passing hazard perception, if your really good and spot the hazard too early and click it doesn't always register, and too late doesn't either, and clicking lots of times rhythmically makes it think you are cheating, so you have to find the sweet spot, you can get away with a bit of multiple clicking though.)
For £6.38 on amazon I would highly recommend it. This would be good to refresh your memory on the bus or in a waiting room though.
I have a copy of the this CD, but you are limited to using it on your laptop and getting used to the constant whirring sound of the CD. I have tried it, but it is so much easier to learn on your phone on the tube or and their website is very good too.
I like the cd too but it doesn't get much use.

I know what you mean about the whirring sound, though if you can be bothered you can make an ISO disc image and mount it from your hard drive using Daemon tools.
(Only some versions of Daemon tools seem to work for me though,
And to make it work go to Preferences, Advanced, tick the "Advanced Emulation" option, then restart your PC and open Daemon tools again and go to Preferences, Advanced and Tick "RMPS", "SafeDisk", "SecuROM" and "Laser Lock" and press apply, it is a mission I know lol but it should work without the disc).
But of course it's whatever works best for you, I just can't concentrate unless I am at a desk with headphones. Good luck, I am sure you will pass with flying colours, once you start passing every time on the mock ones then you will be ready.

I am not too technically sound, but I did try to follow a tutorial online about saving the disk and then running it , but I get error such as "CD is required to run this software"

Reviews on this app are very recent and the same person has reviewed both the paid and free app in the past two days.
