Found (and purchased) this TV in my local Asda. Unsure if national and was the last one in store. Registered for the 2 years free warranty online then extended it to 5 years for an additional payment of £107.88
50" TV with good reviews & 5 years warranty for £336.88 - not too shabby :)

It's better value with just the 2 year warranty, in my opinion. Paying nigh on half the cost of the TV for the extra 3 years just isn't worthwhile. In all likelihood, provided it's looked after within those first two years and doesn't develop of fault, it'll likely carry on working just fine. Either way though in 5 years you may be about ready for a 4K TV

If strapped to the wings of a plane....this is a distinct possibility

To think the Asda masses will still be hunting for the Polaroid 55"!!
Good find!

Ah yes, spotted those in there yesterday although I'd done a little digging beforehand and wasn't keen. Admittedly, not heard of Hisense until now but did a little reviewing (courtesy of Google) whilst holding on to the box in store! It serves it's purpose well and the picture is better than our (albeit old) LG. :man:

I have a feeling Hisense could really take off in UK

Not sure I'd want to spend £4000 on a TV :stuck_out_tongue:

I also wouldn't pay the extra for the 5 year warranty. 2 years is enough if I look after it.
Also some credit cards will give you an extra year if you purchase using their card which is what I do to bump it up from 1 to 2 years or 2 to 3 years

Oh really? I paid by credit card. I also have't paid upfront from the warranty - opted for monthly instalments. Maybe I should reconsider then...
