I was at Tesco and just so happen to be pass their stationary section (big Xtra store) and these sharpeners caught my eye especially since they were priced at £2. They could be rubbish I thought but to be sure I had to buy one to test.
Well, I've just opened and tried it. Wow, totally shocked. This gadget is absolutely brilliant. So easy to use and took literally a few seconds to sharpen a blunt pencil and it's perfectly sharp.

This is what the communists called Western decadence. Having electricity sharpen your pencil for you, one in every home.
Unsurprisingly it's the Americans that first mass produced an electric pencil sharpener, because they couldn't turn the handle of the mechanical one and keep the pencil inserted at the same time as stuffing their faces with crispy creme
