I remember playing these on the old consoles, they where so much fun and now with overhauled graphics and gaming engines we can play them all over again, much cheaper as well, also by pre-ordering this you get the steel case to collect, most people are awaiting dead island 2, but in the mean time go back and play this one again.

Quick tip for everyone looking at the PC version; Humblebundle already listed here tonight are doing the midrange package including both the original Dead Island and Riptide. If you buy this with all the other games thrown in (it was around $3-$4) and add them to Steam you can visit the Steam store page for this new edition above, and upgrade them both for £1.80 each.
If you don't already own them it'll work out roughly £3.60 + the bundle charge (which is roughly about £3), so job's a good'un.
For those of you (and me) who like to buy digitally, you can get it via the Brazilian store for £15.59

Don't waste your money on a broken game. The devs for Dead Island don't own the game and now own Dying Light. Dead Island is full of unsorted bugs and always will be. Get Dying Light and save your money. I am willing to bet that the Zombies spawn in the exact same place you kill them over and over.

Have you played the Definitive Editions?

They do that on Dying Light too
Also, I've finished them both from beginning to end. They're hardly "broken". Can't remember encountering a bug on these at all.

Hmmm... I dunno about this. I loved Dead Island (not that i finished it, but thats my slacker issue), but looked at these the other day and the graphics didnt look particularly different?
Saying that, i thought that about something else recently and then when i looked back at the original version it was well different.
