I've never had a burning desire to own a Kindle PaperWhite (until last night ...) so was a bonus if it was honoured and just got confirmation my order has been dispatched for collection Tuesday afternoon

No point in me going to the store at the moment...takes forever for them to get the click and collect items in due to our location...as I said above my pick up date is 4th of June so definitely won't be there yet...last time I ordered from Tesco Clothing it took over 2 weeks for them to get them into store...last direct order took 9 days I think.

Got my text and email to advise it's ready for pick up but I selected one in town (as would have picked up after work) however I'm I'll and not in work. Will pick it up tomorrow.

They're not always prompt with sending notifications. I was passing my store about half an hour ago, so went in to check on the offchance and it had arrived. I've now just got back in, sat down... and the SMS arrived to advise that the parcel was ready for collection.

I haven't heard anything yet. When I ordered it stated I'd be able to collect after 3pm today. I'll just sit tight I guess!

You'll generally get an email when it's arrived and been processed ready for collection, but this certainly can be before 3pm. I wouldn't go out of your way to get to the store before you know that it's there, but if you're passing anyway there's no harm in checking.

Actually, my second one hasn't been dispatched just yet but the Email clearly states about the amount of refund and I will receive an update on the oustanding item shortly. No reason to not believe it will be received.

You don't use an user name like idiot81 when making an order, your name must be real and same as the one in your bank card. Tesco staff have to check against it with the order's name for security unless that troll's name in his card is also idiot81.

I find it rather unusual that dispatch email has not been sent to me yet considering it is more than 20 hrs now. I ordered from Tesco Direct many times before and I usually received dispatch email in a few hours. But I am sure if Tesco honour this deal, dispatch email will be sent out no later than 8am Tuesday and then another collection email between 2-3pm same day asking you to bring ID to collect. So wait till 8am and see what happens.

It makes me laugh that members are still sour about people ordering loads to sell on eBay. Surely you realise half the members on here do exactly that. It was gone 1am when this was posted and you expect people to queue up single file ordering 1 each; then politely commenting on here for the next member to place their order...

It was a Tesco Direct error (not instore) - my theory is that they were changing the price of the Amazon tablet to £39 and somehow changed the kindle paperwhite price too

I would try other stores and keep a look out, Tesco stores dont always drop prices at the same time as i have found out .
