Yes but videos will be limited to 1080p, 4k 60fps doesn't work on it. I returned mine because of this.

I would try other stores and keep a look out, Tesco stores dont always drop prices at the same time as i have found out .

It was a Tesco Direct error (not instore) - my theory is that they were changing the price of the Amazon tablet to £39 and somehow changed the kindle paperwhite price too

You don't use an user name like idiot81 when making an order, your name must be real and same as the one in your bank card. Tesco staff have to check against it with the order's name for security unless that troll's name in his card is also idiot81.

I find it rather unusual that dispatch email has not been sent to me yet considering it is more than 20 hrs now. I ordered from Tesco Direct many times before and I usually received dispatch email in a few hours. But I am sure if Tesco honour this deal, dispatch email will be sent out no later than 8am Tuesday and then another collection email between 2-3pm same day asking you to bring ID to collect. So wait till 8am and see what happens.

A few hours ago my order said confirmed but the tracking picture showing as dispatched, now tracking is showing as dispatched aswell

Woke up this morning to a dispatch email to be collected anytime after 3pm, blinding deal after abit of research i found out this is actually the latest Paperwhite 3rd generation model.

Yeah, its pretty insane they're honouring it. I got my Booly price drop alert while working late 1am and also wondered if it was related to the Kindle Fire discount price.

Sadly for me I had already bought the latest Paperwhite for myself, my partner, and my brother at the end of last year, two at full price, one Black Friday. It's by far the best eReader I've tried so far! :smiley:

You'll generally get an email when it's arrived and been processed ready for collection, but this certainly can be before 3pm. I wouldn't go out of your way to get to the store before you know that it's there, but if you're passing anyway there's no harm in checking.

They're not always prompt with sending notifications. I was passing my store about half an hour ago, so went in to check on the offchance and it had arrived. I've now just got back in, sat down... and the SMS arrived to advise that the parcel was ready for collection.

Got my text and email to advise it's ready for pick up but I selected one in town (as would have picked up after work) however I'm I'll and not in work. Will pick it up tomorrow.

Will be given to both of my daughters.- These are great for kids because you can alter the font size, so things like Harry Potter don't look so daunting with big friendly text. - Had bought the Harry Potter paperbacks but the text is small and difficult for young ones

(Also, not so many words on a page, so they feel that they are reading lots of pages within a short period of time - a big confidence builder)

#2 Is there an easy way to transfer/organise books from my PC to this as eg say i have a folder on my PC Stephen King then in that folder all of his titles/books trouble ive found is that when ive added that to my Kindle Keyboard it just adds all of the titles separately listing pages upon pages of his books on my Kindle ill then have to manually organise them to show the same as it was on the PC which takes hours, is there a way around this ?

I ordered a few of these and unfortunately all except one got cancelled. I spoke to Tesco customer service rep and they will only honor 1 per household as this was a misprice

I went along today and it's not there. Nothing has happened since my order, except money being taken. I feel like chasing, but expect that will heighten my chances of the order being cancelled :-(

I've just asked via chat if they could remove the ads and they're saying that there's a £10 charge unless you get the kindle as a gift

edit: the rep went away to ask a supervisor after I said that I've seen a few people get it for free and he removed them for me as a goodwill gesture, result!

Half an hour later I received an email saying yes!

£49 now. Just bought one anyway after mine broke.

You're lucky, mate. Never seen one on ebay for £49. May be the seller doesn't want the 'suffer' that someone has wished on him.
