Best Mario Golf game yet; probably one of the few game series I know that keep getting better (much unlike Mario Tennis).
I wish I could get the digital version for that price, still waiting for a sale.
Heat added, well worth the price!

Best Mario sports game ever? Better than Mario Basketball, that soccer game and any Mario Tennis.

Mario Tennis on the N64 was the best Tennis game... And the 3DS version definitely appeals as apparently the same tracks from Mario Golf 64 can be accessed as downloadable content.

Amazon reviews have people saying that half the game is accessed through paid DLC? Anyone confirm this? Don't fancy paying a tenner for a game when I need to pay another tenner for the courses!

not really you can play through it although it's sometimes a bit convoluted and not very straightforward. Plenty of content for this price.

I know which review you are referring to and it should be reported. The reviewer considers the base game as a "demo". He should be so lucky if demos had as much content as the game has, even without the DLC. Whoever wrote it must have some mental retardation and probably is just trying to turn not so knowledgeable buyers away.

I played the original N64 as a child (albeit older than 6) and loved it at the time. From the top of my head, some must-buy games for the 3DS are: Animal Crossing, Pokémon XY and Pokémon ORAS, Fire Emblem Awakening (might be a bit complex for a 6 year old, but it's one of my favourite videogames ever), Kid Icarus Uprising (he's going to love the story mode!), Mario Kart 7, Mario Tennis (not as good as what it used to be, but still very decent and easy to master), Smash Bros, Street Fighter 4 3D, New Super Mario Bros 2... plemty of solid titles to choose from.

Thanks for the suggestions both - I'll take a look at all of those! Cheers.
