Lots of products which used to be regular (monsoon coffee beans) are now "Waitrose 1". Interestingly, while adding "1" to the name they've removed the almost forever 2 for £5 deal!

The flash on the Waitrose website is clear that it's "25% off all Waitrose 1 products" even though the website then goes on to list out Waitrose 1 products, several of which DON'T have the myWaitrose logo/promo on them!
No indication of how long the 25% off lasts!
Bonus: Realise that when meeting the £5+/£10+ weekday/weekend spend requirement to get a myWaitrose bill credit for a qualifying newspaper spend, that it's the gross 100% item cost that will count towards that total, not the net 75% discounted cost
Plus it's also possible when "Waitrose 1" items are in multibuy (eg say £2 each, 2 for £3) that the 25% off MAY well come off the individual item cost ie off £2/item rather than off £3/2. That's certainly what happens with myWaitrose Pick Your Own 20% offs!

As "one of their best customers", I just got given a personal introduction (sent an email) to this. Now I have a feeling they say that to all their customers :disappointed:

I too was considered one of their best and was walking tall - now feeling pretty deflated...

I only ever shopped there a few times while at my parent's house in Birmingham, and even then just enough to get the free newspaper, yet I'm also included in this category!

Hugely inflated prices and then 25% off!

Also appears to work on reduced items. I just picked up a ton of stuff in the Bath branch at 75% off, and another 25% came off the original price at the til. £50 worth of freezable stuff for £12.50, then another £3 or so taken off at til. Wasn't even marked as '1' either!

Many of the ready meals in this range used to be called "Menu from Waitrose", came in the brown foil containers. Got the "you are special" mail as well.
