That's 95% mountain bike. In fact, I'm not really sure which part is like a road bike for this to be classed as a hybrid.

Excellent hydraulic discs. Good stopping power in the wet or dry.

(but careful, 'carbon' is the colour, not the material!) :P

Can someone tell me what the difference is between this and a 29er hardtail? :man:

It pretty much is a 29er hardtail.. with slightly thinner tyres than the average Hardtail

geometry looks like it might be a bit steeper than your typical mtb too... best to check!

63mm fork travel - I have 120mm and it still bottoms out sometimes, thinking of getting 140

I have the bike, it's not a proper MTB, but the 63mm still comes in handy as I have it set to very hard. so with a low pressure tire and it on hard setting it's a good set up.

I have recently just bought the Giant roam 2 from tredz for £350. The bike is excellent so I'd suggest people buy it from somewhere other than Rutland cycles.

I seem to have had a reasonable service from Rutland, any reason you think they should look elsewhere?

It's an insidious plot by America to take over the world (or can you not get a UK English predictive text on your phone?).

Bought a Giant Roam 4 from Rutland Cycling, it was so abysmally setup that I had to take it to my local bike shop, spent £40 sorting out all the problems it arrived with. Wouldn't touch them in future.
