This is real bargain. Especially these are large eggs.

Not free range, avoid.

Unless you're literally on the bread line, you should spend the extra 50p and support the farmers that give the egg producers (the chickens) a less brutal existence.

Unfortunately you will have to pay 75p, you can't have them for free! :stuck_out_tongue:

Mountains of filth and chickens with broken bones crushing each other with giant puss filled boils all over them went into these eggs. Pay the extra folks. Don't be a dick.

Was going to buy those free range, but now I am going to get these large ones and save 25p

Given the recent revelations about how "free range" is interpreted by many farmers there may be little extra benefit to the hens.

And get 2 fewer eggs .. these for 7.5p each or the large free range for 8.33p each .. free range wins hands down in my opinion.

You're right,12 eggs in free range - well spotted Batman!!!

Agreed on free range. If I was a hen I would rather suffer less while popping a dozen out of my back side.

Wow wtf is up with petty deals like this? If someone shops at iceland and wants eggs they will get them! NO ONE is going to go out their way to save coppers on some eggs ban this crap on hduk is just stupid....

You never know what a persons situation is buddy, could be a single mum or single dad needs to count the coppers in order to make do

Sorry but every little helps. I actually go out of my way to buy my eggs at Lidl because it saves me 20 pence off the usual price of £1 for 10. The adage "take care of the pennies and the pounds will care for themselves" is true. How about if you think the deal is pointless you don't have to view it, you don't have to comment or even vote on the deal. That seems like a much fairer solution eh?

These battery eggs should be banned.
Anyone who buys these is directly promoting and approving of animal cruelty.

i just want to point out that "battery farming" as such was banned a while ago. that said, free range is totally worth the extra over caged in my mind.

I'm actually very grateful for that deal. Tomorrow I'll be doing my big shop and was going to stop by Aldi to grab a couple of things, Iceland is next door to it and I never go in there, now I'll be popping in to grab 36 free range eggs for £3, so some people do like little deals like that, especially when you can pop in and out in a couple of minutes.

Not really, so you go to iceland to save 20p on 1 item when you could save a quid on another item at asda... its retarded, all you people defending crap like this i really feel sorry for you, if you need to walk somewhere to save 20p, as driving will cost fuel and make it pointless and then walk to another shop to save another 20p you may aswell kill yourself tbh lol...

Careful people around walk miles and miles to save 20p, did you read the thread lol?

In no way did I defend anything other than those out there who are unable to afford "luxury" items such as free range, free range is always the better option but like I said, there are people who cannot afford to pay that bit extra, there are people who walk to all different stores so they can save their pennies. there are places where there is an Iceland next to an ASDA or a Tesco.
People who can only afford value priced items shouldnt be scorned because of their situation, heck, even people out working full time still cannot afford to go completely Free Range.

Price: hot
Product: cold
I wouldn't buy them as I think free range eggs are the way to go, but for someone on a very tight budget these are fine and are well priced.
