Continuing to be tempted by this phone. Question is the back slightly curved to make it better fit in hand?
Also would it be a better investment than an Xperia z1? On paper they both have same specs z1 actually has better main camera but it's 3 years old nearly.... Confused me how they both have the same spec but I guess it was flagship at its time

For all the fans of the Wileyfox and cyanogen os can I ask how does this phone compare with the bq aquaris x5? I've seen a lot about the Wileyfox and been resisting it for ages but recently found out about the x5.
Design build it looks more appealing to me. It's available from o2 for 119 which I think is a great price for the specs which seem to be pretty much same as the wf swift. unlocked it jumps to about 180 which kinda takes away from the budget tactic.
So I'm wondering 2 things:
1 - why is this so rarely heard of and yet the swift is doing pretty successfully when from what I can see on paper both have the same spec
2 - is the price difference to get the x5 unlocked worth it over the swift (or which is the better phone)

Dont buy this phone people - its false economy: poor build quality, unreliable with dodgy support. Here is my experience. Impressed with so many positive reviews , I bought this phone and even recommended it to my partner- he bought one too. Before, I had Motorola 2nd generation but sadly it got stolen. This phone doesnt compare very well to my previous one- despite having better specifications listed . First let down is battery life- draining very fast with modest use, nowehere near to what was promised. Second thing is the compass and GPS. Even with a Wifi and mobile data for "high accurancy" it struggles very badly- forget it in the car , it will dance around the side roads and will stop and then jump back on -after you are already lost! I like to use my phone abroad for navigation- obviously without Wifi and mobile data to avoid charges -using offline navigation apps like Sygic .My previous phone- Moto G was excellent with it, but Swift will obviously be a failure for offline navigation judging by how badly it struggles even on online "high accurancy" mode. I have emailed Wilefox Swift support about these issues and they gave me a Google website link to recaliberate the compass (!)- to basically tilt phone up and down, let and right. It doesnt look like they will be any good help during 2 year of warranty period if phone develops more faults(very likely). My partners phone also developed a fault -with a speaker- sounda of apps notifications are crackling and high pitched. We will both returning these phones to the retailer and Im getting new Motorola.

Having owned both..... I'd say spend the extra on the Honor 5x. Not that the wileyfox is a bad phone, it's not. But the smaller 410 processor has its limitations. If your simply looking for a cheap phone to Facebook, what's app, call with, the wileyfox will be good. But if your a play games or use you phone a bit more intensively..... Plum for the Honor. But put nova launcher on it.
kunhadi to ajbgatenby1
4 Apr 161#77
They are different in screen size and cpu speed.
The 5X is faster and larger with a fingerprint scanner, but costs at a higher price.
It totally depends on how you will use the phone daily,
and whether you will be able to "forget" the other one after you buy any one of them.
.
FYI: Wileyfox Storm has the same size as Honor 5X but costs even more expensive (£190) and still NO fingerprint scanner
Its a great price, but storage problems can be a nightmare if your not tech savy.Stick with my moto 3rd gen for now.

No offence but gee ! A lot of people have work mobiles provided by employers and their own personal mobiles so dual-sim mobiles are a godsend as we can just put the sim from our work mobiles in our own mobile phone to save having to carry two phones around. You don't use both sims at the same time of course, but it does allow us to choose which sim we want to use for our work-related or personal calls. On my Moto G 2nd gen dual sim phone, it can remember which sim I used for any call and if I want it to, will automatically use that sim again every time I call the same number.

Both sims go in phone and are connected, I could be wrong on this but think sim1 works on full 3g/4g status and sim2 on 2g. Basically both sims work for normal phone calls etc independently , 2 phone numbers, one phone.

I agree with that. The Smart Ultra 6 has a more powerful processor and a better full HD screen resolution of 1920x1080 pixels compared to the Wileyfox's 1280×720. The 5.5" screen on the Smart Ultra is quite large portability-wise but great in use. The big plus for the Wileyfox is if you really need a dual sim mobile.

Bought this from Amazon last time it was on £99. Had it for a few days and sent it back. Found it pretty laggy compared to my ZTE Blade S6 which was also £100 from Argos. Liked the customizability of the O/S but the performance of some of the games I played and video rendering didn't compare to close what I was getting off the ZTE. Eventually sold the ZTE and bought a One Plus X following my experience of the O/S. Appreciate its double the price but it's well worth it (queue abuse) but I won't buy another budget phone again. My Gen 1 Moto G out performed this.

Bought one from amazon marketplace couple of weeks ago. Great phone for the price, was a replacement for my lost oppo 7a and apart from a smaller screen size haven't really noticed much difference in performance, and speakers on phone give quite a good sound , much better than the oppo or previous Sammy's I've owned. Only thing still baffling me is how to set storage for mp3's etc to sd card rather than phone storage, if anyone has answer I'd be gratefull. Can also confirm it works with 2 separate sim card + separate sd card at same time, 3 separate slots on phone. Couple of links to previous deals on here for opinions: http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/wileyfox-swift-4g-lte-20-cashback-114-99-excluding-cashback-foniacs_uk-ebay-2412735

Better half has one and she loves it. Seems decent for the price. She did say the camera isn't the best but considering how cheap it is she is happy.
I would point out that depending on what USB cable you use it's very easy for them to slip out when plugged in. There doesn't seem to be any resistance to hold most USB cables in place and the included cable is very short. Became a real pain for her when she plugged it in at night to find the cable had slipped out in the morning so didn’t have a full charge.
But thanks to the advice of someone on here we discovered that the white USB cables from Poundland seem to stay in well without falling out.
