These are really nice knives. Lot's of very useful features, but not too big so will fit in a pocket easily. Also because all blades are non-locking it's UK carry legal.
I have one in white that I bought years ago, if I lost it I would buy another straight away. I'm almost tempted at this price to buy a spare. Hot.

Victorinox just sent me a free pair of replacement scales (the plastic handle) for my 30-year-old Champ.
Great knife, excellent customer service.
Heated.

Looks to much of a beast to be an everyday pocket knife

Not really, you can pop it in a front jeans pocket and pretty much forget it's there.

Cheapest since sept 2012. Going to set a camel camel alert at £32.
I suspect this would cover most of what people need a pocket knife for at under half the price.

I'd also recommend the Huntsman, i've had one for about 5 yrs and its just about small enough to attach to your keyring. So you will always have it on you. Although i remove it when out for a night out in pubs & clubs.
The Swiss Champ is a great SAK, but its too fat for me to carry it all the time.
These Victorinox have really jumped in price the last few years..... I remember when the Swiss champ was often as a deal on here for around £25. Also i only paid £11.50 for the Huntsman.

I got a climber I think its called for free, collected tokens from jordans cereal. I think my huntsman cost me about 12 quid, I also have a wenger from before the take over thats better quality then victorinox.
I'm not sure if the champ is carry legal check the overal blade length including the hing before you buy to make sure its no more then 3 Inches.

It's just a fatter version of your knife, not a longer one.

I have loads of Swiss Army knives but can't recommend the Champ due to it's size. It is just to big for pocket carry and if you don't carry a knife daily you will never have it with you when you want it. These days I mostly carry the Climber or Huntsman models as they have the best range of day to day blades.

Or £18.60 from other sellers on Amazon for the Huntsman

I love my Swiss Army Knife and carry it almost everywhere, but they have cutting blades that are just too soft and will not keep a really keen edge for any length of time. Yes, it is genuine and was actually bought by me in Switzerland—not a Far East knock-off..
