Something wrong with your reading I think - it's £199 on the Vax website... :man:
The cordless SOLO is £129 - and that has ONE battery. And it is £99.99 everywhere, so Vax are still dearer even on that... SIGHS...

If you really want one of these, wait for the next Vax clearance sale. It'll probably be autumn if you can wait.

Good vacuum, got one for £105 with delivery from Vax. Two batteries are definitely work paying extra for. Picks up stuff pretty well, hose is too short (but has to be to not lose suction) so probably won't replace your electric unless you don't need hose much. Easy enough to take apart and clean.

Read the one and two star reviews from people who have actually own this for a few months. Probably best to stay away as it suffers from the usual Vax issues.

Such as? We've had one for months and it's great.... Not as powerful as a mains vacuum but that shouldn't be a surprise to anyone

I have owned one since the last black friday (the Lift-Out version).
They are great for little and often cleaning jobs, but I felt I couldn't get rid of the mains powered one for jobs needing serious suction.
Two complaints about it, the first is the point where the dust comes into the collecting container, jams up with lint before the thing is full and loses all suction. Second, the brush head tangles up with hair because my daughter and wife both have very long hair, needs to be removed and untangled with scissors, comes out easy enough though.
But if you use them to their strengths then they are excellent, I especially recommend the lift version for convenience.

I'd say it's worth paying the extra £25 for the spare battery
