good deal as you can cancel anytime before paid plan starts , new customers only
can be used to deliver your groceries ( above £40 ) - anytime deliveries also on tesco direct & F&F ( both above £10 )

Quidco also doing £5 atm for new delivery savers customers but not sure if this will also work ?! anyway worth trying x

all online supermarket charge a standard fee of 40p per delivery for bags and you can pick to have your order delivery in bags or without bags pleases get your fact's correct.

Used to always use home delivery, until the carrier bag charge came in! They were bad enough before at putting 1/2 items in some bags but then when the charge started everything came 1 item per bag! Even though id asked for no bags to be used! And still got charged for all the bags used! Haven't used them since!

Never really been interested in home shopping, but this sort of thing puts me off, along with the chances of getting dented tins or manky veg. Charging excessively for something they never charged for before, or don't HAVE TO charge for, really has got tesco written all over it!

If you specified "no bags" and it came with bags, call them and the bags charges will be removed. No problem.

Max is 40p charge with any supermarket and they give you as many bags required. And you can choose if you want your shopping with bags 40p or without them for free.

They have to give good enough veg/fruit and can refuse what you dont like the look of. To be fair the fruit and veg and fresh bread i ordered was all in good condition! I only used it when heavily pregnant and had a 2 year old so was ALOT easier :smiley:

Alternatively, check your "MyPlan" page (https://secure.tesco.com/DeliverySaver/) - F&F and Direct codes should be listed as eCoupons that you simply add at the respective checkout.

Seem to remember that these codes were fairly generic, but only work if your plan is still valid.

I have tried that but on F&F section and wine by the case is showing - Your code is on its way
so probably they will have to generate n send it by post or update there x

Cancel plan on account and then create another account with a different email addy and free trial will then be available on the new account.

Good find. I've been using Tesco home delivery midweek saver for over two years for our main grocery shop. I'd never go back to doing it in-store (with Tesco or anyone else).

Yes, and I had to ring twice as the first guy sweet talked me by explaining that if I stay on I wouldn't loose out as they refund at the end of the 6 months the money you've paid in excess to what you've actually used. But when I googled it discovered that they actually give you a grocery voucher which probably has a min spent and a short exp. date, so called them again and this time it was no questions asked straight forward cancellation. Email arrived almost immediately :smiley:

I've used home delivery since 1999 (was part of the trial group for Tesco). Have used it weekly or fortnightly ever since, from all the major supermarkets. Honestly, I've never had a dented tin, or manky veg - not once. I think we've had broken eggs twice, and we just phone up and they refund it. I genuinely see no reason not to do it - means I don't spend 20 mins back and forwards to a supermarket, and an hour or more dragging myself around a busy supermarket.

I agree, it saves a lot of time, plus sometimes you can get nice surprise- when they out of stock of something you order - they tend to replace it with better quality/ more expensive items and you are still charged the same ( that what has happened few times before with my orders )

they immediately refund anything you are not happy with. just have to call.
