In general Yankee Candles have a much stronger scent when burning than competitors and also tend to last longer. Many scented candles smell nice in the jar but fail to deliver when lit. With my Yankee candles I only need to burn them for about 20 minutes and the scent fills the house. The ones made for the supermarkets don't tend to be as strong. The genuine Yankees are vastly over priced in the UK, so when they get reduced its a bonus. When I go to the USA my hand luggage is filled with Yankee candles on the way back.

Thank you for that answer, I should invest in some as the various ones I purchase from Ikea every few months are exactly as you describe them, scented when sniffing the jar but barely a whiff of scent when lit.
