I got my Note 4 on LAUNCH DAY on a very similar deal to this back in Nov 2014, from mobiles.co.uk. Anyone calling this a scam is an idiot, in the last 4/5 years I've had at least 5 contracts from mobiles.co.uk, it is all legit. Phones have always been unlocked.

Anyway on to this deal. As soon as I saw it I knew from experience it wouldn't last long, I ordered 2! One in black for myself and a gold for the missus. Both orders went through and both phones have been dispatched due for a Monday delivery. Thanks OP for finding this, I knew it was just a matter of time before an offer like this popped up. Now don't ask me how mobiles.co.uk manage to do it because they have consistently been having these offers on the very latest handsets for the past few years!

If you get it, once applied don't worry if you think it doesn't look great initially and see bubbles. I left mine to dry overnight and it looked much better the next day. After 2 days you can't even tell it has anything on. I thought I'd made a hash of it when applying even though it took me half an hour but I did it correctly.

Got a full body shield from ultimateshield.co.uk
Takes a lot of patience to fit it but once done you can hardly tell it's on. I've applied it to front, back and sides, so won't bother with a case. Looks and size are not compromised but gives the phone a slightly more rubbery feel, but the fit is perfect. Highly recommended but as I said, takes ages to fit it with water and fairy liquid

do not buy this one of ebay 272162203082 well short of the size it needs to be. I think my opinion is that no one has mastered the glass ones yet.

I went to a local phone shop in the end and bought one from there £5 applied purely because I was desperate. It's gone on the right size, it's not glass it's the film type like slightly rubbery texture. I didn't get the name otherwise I would of shared!

Case wise I bought Your text here fits a treat and doesn't affect the screen protector
Millionvoltage

I bought a cheap case and protector, The protector the right size, It covers the screen nicely but is pushed up by the case....Looks like a dropped the screen protector on from a great height. Tip, dont buy cases with over lapped credit slots, they push on the screen and perm make it from experience.

If you're not averse to something that'll pretty much double the weight and volume of your S7 edge, Lovemei cases are now available for this phone! Pretty sure they all come with gorilla glass, even the "edge" varieties. Cheapest I found was $25 (Just over £17) so there's a chance customs might try and get you with a small amount of import duty

I placed an order for this yesterday and then had an email come through this morning to say there were problems with the order and for me to phone their 13p a minute helpline.

I phoned up and they said that the credit check had failed even though I'd given all my correct information and have a perfect credit score. They said they weren't able to see my address on their system. They were however able to get it delivered to the local Carphone warehouse for me instead but because the code has now expired I would now need to now pay £100 up front fee.

Looks like they're using some dodgy tactics to get orders cancelled. They lost my business as I cancelled the order but still managed to get money out of me for the phone call. Would never use Mobiles.co.uk again, tw*ts!

Good luck to everyone who managed to place orders. I've just been reading about this 'company' (bunch of conmen) and really wished I'd researched them before placing my order. Its well documented all over the web about their cons of placing these 'hot' deals on their website before cancelling and withdrawing them and then selling all your details on to third parties.
https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/www.mobiles.co.uk

People who run these companies (Andrew Palmer - https://www.linkedin.com/in/andrew-palmer-63a65629?authType=name&authToken=ysYk) should have all their ill-gained wealth stripped and donated to charity.

Are you sure?.... I haven't checked but the 20% was obviously the incentive for new customers but they make their money by lumping on interest, so it's in their interest to encourage people to take credit terms in the hope they can't pay in full. PNPL/Interest Free is just a way to catch people out.

2 Apr 16 #107
Depends on personal circumstances and preferences I guess....

At the moment there seems to be a lot of change in tariffs and increasing competition and in some cases mergers, I'm not keen to be locked into a relatively expensive contract for two years and equally prefer an unlocked handset....

So with Very - £515 (I'm sure it's £515 and not £520)
My TopCashBack is confirmed (although not paid yet) at £83.90 (that's for two S7 Edges though), so halve that - £41.95
So assuming TCB is paid £473.05

In my case I've gone for the EE 16GB deal at £16.49 for 12 months, so overall I'm paying £670.93 in year one and thereafter whatever I can get the Sim Only deal for. Alternatively I could at any time sell the S7 Edge, obviously I need to factor in depreciation but it's generally easier to sell a year old unlocked phone.
dwattsy21
1 Apr 16 2 #106
This is a stonking deal, great find. I've had this phone a few weeks now and have to say, it's perfect. They have crammed so many really useful excellent features into it (fast Wireless charging, waterproof without any flaps, screen shrink etc.), it's the phone I've been waiting for. I made a quick video summary of the best features if this helps anybody take the plunge.

Go for it, you won't be disappointed
busterdan
1 Apr 16 #100
Just my opinion but whilst this is OK, all the time you can get an unlocked S7 Edge from Very for £515, by now pay later this deal will have to stay cold for me..... 3GB is not enough for an average user unless you can jump on wifi all the time.

They may well increase the tarif, as providers (mobile, broadband, tv...) services have always done. I get a yearly increase to my virgin bill which irritates me no end. If they increase it by more than 10% you can cancel the contract right off the bat though with no charge. So, this is no different to other contracts in this regard.

I was tempted by this because they do look pretty flash... Problem is I use over 5gb a month data and refuse to spend the next couple of years stressing about keeping within data allowance.

Also despite it's looks I don't think the s7/edge offers enough in terms of innovation to justify an upgrade. The G5 is at least is trying something different with the add ons but it doesn't look as premium as the s7 edge so I'm turned off by it.

Hopefully the note 6 will offer something genuinely new and be worth committing to a new contract or buying outright. For now I'll stick to my old faithful note 3.

Best deal for normal S7 was unlimited, 7gb 4g data and £65 handset fee with £31/mth on Vodafone.

My S6 edge arrived today, £80 handset fee, unlimited, 5GB 4G data £29.99/mth with EE. I'm thinking of sending it back for this deal now.

My Note 3 contract is finished in a couple of months and was thinking of getting one too at this price.
Does the £31.50/mth start from when you get your phone or when you insert the SIM and switch it on?If it's from when you insert the SIM I'd keep it boxed for a couple of months until I'm out of contract.

Just preordered the lg g5 direct from o2 and it ends up at the same cost, same plan...
bluefish2303 to taz002dev

No you only get O2 Refresh with O2 directly.
nyasham to taz002dev
1 Apr 16 #14
I believe you can get O2 to link it to their account system which converts it to a refresh tariff. I did that a couple of years ago so I could pay off the phone early. Worth calling them up to be sure

this deal works on both black and gold on O2 with new contracts only so good deals. Not so good for me with upgrade as price jumps to £169.99 and code doesnt work. Shame about that. Maybe I should cancel my o2 contract and take my number to new phone on o2 to save money....is that possible???
